$7 Job Postings Going Away July 31 |

Jobs.LinkingIndiana.Com is off to the races and will be raising rates from the introductory rate of $7 to $15 for a 30 day listing on July 31. Linking Indiana's Job Board is integrated with the weekly newsletter and is wired in to many of the Linking Indiana groups. If you are posting jobs into the LinkedIn group, you are reaching about 4,600 people. If you post on Jobs.LinkingIndiana.Com, you reach the 4,600 from LinkedIn, the 16,800 members of our email list, over 2,100 people who follow LinkingIndiana on Twitter and relevant technology jobs are also posted to the Indiana IT Pros group.

A Few Little Changes for Linking Indiana |

We've been busy updating Linking Indiana over the past few weeks. We've re-organized our content to make it easier to find articles (check out the main menu above...). We've also made a few needed improvements to our event calendar to make it easier for you to list your events (yes, it's free). The Indiana Job Board has more accurate listings and is now wired in to automatically publish jobs into the Hoosier Jobs Network group on LinkedIn. and added several new content partners.
We're still looking for a few more content partners in the following areas:
- News
- Technology
- Sports
- Politics
- Social Media

 LinkingIndiana.com welcomes award winning Indianapolis interior decor blog TheDesignFile.net to the Linking Indiana Content network. TheDesignFile.net has been consistently one of Indianapolis' best written and beautifully laid out blogs since it was started in July 2009 by Lesley Weidenbener. In 2009, TheDesignFile.net was awarded the Hobby Category Winner in Linking Indiana's Indiana's Favorite Blog Contest.

Linking Indiana has been around for about 1.5 years. In that time, we've grown a lot, but givent that I don't have a ton of time, this site has been limited by the platform it runs on. Linking Indiana runs on Joomla 1.5, which is a great content management system, but just isn't a strong enough in the social and conetnt sharing department. Add to that the fact that it takes Joomla plus about 18 plug-ins to provide this level of functionality, I've decided the time has come to move on from Joomla.
So, sometime in February, this site will relaunch. When it does, it will be based on WordPressMU + BuddyPress. This will give Linking Indiana a little better feature set, especially for our Opinion Leaders and Guest bloggers. When we re-launch, I'm hoping that people wanting to reach Hoosiers with high quality content, useful events and great ideas find Linking Indiana to be an effective platform for doing so.

Group Focus: Indiana IT Pros |

 Linking Indiana is more than just this website and our newsletter. We also have created several professional groups on LinkedIn to help local professionals find one another. In the past few weeks, one of our groups, Indiana IT Pros has taken off with a surge in new members, increased participation in group discussions and job postings.
