Q: What is your biggest turn off when you read a LinkedIn profile?
Before you jump in the conversation, here are a couple LinkedIn buzzwords that may make the answers easier to understand:

Ok, I've been on Twitter for a while. It's fun. It's entertaining. But is it the right place to put your business in Indiana? If we look at Twitter use numbers in Indiana (recommendation: download and read the survey), the conclusion is probably not. Less than 13% reported they regularly used it. Use numbers just don't tell this story. Twitter has some capability that businesses, should pay close attention to:

Indiana's Favorite Blog
|
|
Thursday, 22 October 2009 11:28 |
|
Two weeks after we put out our call for nominations, local social media guru Kyle Lacy has launched his own "Top 50 Indiana Blogs" competition. Ok, so the timing is a bit suspect, but I honestly don't think that either of us knew what the other was doing - so we'll assume that coincidence is the best kind of flattery and move on because two Indiana blog contests are a good thing. Why? Because it gives Indiana bloggers more opportunities to get exposure.
Most of the blogs in both contests are very good - but most are missing the one ingredient that spells success: traffic. That's why we started the Indiana's Favorite Blog Contest and it's one of the reasons that Kyle has launched his contest. It's all about getting more people to discover the great content that is being published every day by Hoosier bloggers.
Oh, and to clarify one more point: Linking Indiana is not, and never will be an effort to build another Smaller Indiana. I get asked all the time, "why don't you move to Ning and make another better Smaller Indiana?" The answer is simple: it's best to bring communities together rather than tear communities down by dividing groups into smaller and smaller niche social networks.

The recent economic climate has made a significant impact on the market; for both companies and employees. That’s right, on BOTH sides of the fence, players and coaches. This post is for the latter.
Always keep in mind that a good relationship with a solid agency will pay great dividends. Not so sure? Consider this: when’s the best time to have a ‘relationship’ with your attorney?
Well, I’ll tell you when it’s NOT the best time: 3am, in jail, asking to borrow the yellow pages to make a phone call. Are you pickin’ up what I’m puttin’ down? Great! Heed some of these basic, yet often overlooked items when working with a Recruiter during your next career transition.
