Coincidence is the Best Form of Flattery

Ok, so the Indiana's Favorite Blog contest voting is hours old... and suddenly tweets asking you to vote for your "favorite Indiana blog" start showing up. Uh-oh. I'm starting to think we have competition...
Evil Conspiracy
No. Not at all.
Snarky?
Not a bit.
See, last year Kyle Lacy of Brandswag published a "top 50 bloggers" in Indiana. This year, with the help of Lorraine Ball at Roundpeg, the Top 50 Indiana Bloggers has evolved a bit into a real actuall voting contest. They ran the contest same time last year as this year.
Reality is that I'm just glad to see Indiana bloggers get their due. Looking at the entries, it's good to see a lot of the same names on both contests. It's also good to see how many of the contestants in the 2009 Indina's Favorite Blog contest are different than those on Indiana's Top 50 Blogs.
Make sure you vote for your favorite blog in both contests. Your favorite blogger needs the exposure.
A Little Advice to Brandswag
You might want to not let sponsors compete in your contest. They have an unfair advantage over everyone else.
